The Lazarus Project is a 12-month faith-based addiction rehabilitation & Christian discipleship program for men ages 18 or older.
The Lazarus Project works to restore the whole man. We incorporates physical exercise each weekday morning, chapels, classes, counseling, work program and job training, weekly men's accountability group meetings, one-on-one mentoring, church services and special events.
Classes include substance abuse, addiction recovery, anger management, character development, financial training, marriage studies, sexual purity, Spiritual Development.
The men are housed within facilities provided by the ministry and provided with basic necessities and structured time for studies and recreation.
Accountability is a main component of the program. Personal responsibility for behavior and respect for authorities and others is expected of each resident.
Residents must desire change within their lives. While coming into the program at the request of others maybe commendable, the resident must come to the conclusion that he wants his life changed from his destructible past. Jesus asked the man at the pool of Bethesda, “Do you want to get well”, the resident must come to a conclusive answer to that question. The program strives to help bring the resident face to face with that decisions and instill in him the spiritual and social tools he needs to be successful.
Residents progress through four levels of training each lasting one quarter (13-weeks).
Residents enjoy a supervised and structured lifestyle in the project that equips them with spiritual disciplines and life skills needed to succeed in life.
A dedicated group of ordained ministers, licensed Christian counselors, business and community leaders, and mentors make up the team that ministers to each and every resident.
The success rate of the Lazarus Project is certifiably 100%. That is to say, that 100% of every man that comes to the project has the gospel of Jesus Christ presented to him at a level of his understanding and is offered the opportunity to receive freedom from addictive behaviors through the power of the cross.
